The "Freefall University " Student Team . Our Sponsored formation skydiving team and British Champions for 2005/2006.
.

Philosophy

Ordinarily sponsorship is reserved for the people who are best in their discipline at senior level . We took the decision to sponsor three people who had recently gained their basic formation skydiving qualification. Two had trained with us in 2004. These jumpers were to form a team with Lucie as the experienced member and David on camera.

A signifigant portion of each course fee goes towards our Junior team fund and we are already saving for the 2006 Team. Graduates from August 2005 onwards will be welcome to apply when details and sponsorhip applications are posted early next year.
.

Training

All training is completed at the Freefall University formation skydiving school under the guidance of Andy Guler one of Switzerlands most famous jumpers and current national champion aswell as captain to team Dragonfly.

2005 Team members were former students of both 2004 and 2005.
.

Mike Worthington - Inside Centre.

Mike did his first AFF jump with us in March 2004 and has racked up 200 jumps. He completed his FS1 course with us in September 2004 and for a fledgeling skydiver shows a lot of promise.

.

Victoria Scargill - Tail

Victoria applied to the school to become a member of the team. She trained using the static line method with the Lancaster University Skydiving club which jumps at Black Knights parachute centre in the North West of the UK. Vicky or " Muddy Canary " qualified as a formation skydiver in Jan of this year. For her jump numbers Vicky is a tremendously talented skydiver with 200 jumps to date is sure to figure prominentley in UK skydiving in years to come. In the short term Vicky has the personal goal of becoming a formation skydiving coach.
.

Maxine Tate - Point

Maxine learned to Skydive with us in March 2004. Her home dropzone is Netheravon in the UK where she completed her FS1 in late 2004. Fantastic in exits and turning in place Maxine is the " Technical Karma " in the team with no " Challenge " too big...Maxine now has 177 jumps.

.

Luci Boella - Outside Centre

Luci is the senior member and is enthusiastic about formation skydiving. She has jumped with a number of junior and intermediate teams in the UK before qualifying as an AFF Instructor. Luci has about 1800 jumps.

.

David Cowman - Camera

I am the owner of the company and have 3000 jumps. Before qualifying as an AFF Instructor I worked as a tandem cameraman and filmed a good deal of formation skydiving on Irish Team training camps at various centres worldwide. I am happy to the be part of the team and sponsor junior Athletes.I am the owner of the freefall University. Already I am planning and setting aside the capital for a 2006 junior team.

Athlete:  Brian Vacher

We have sponsored an AFF Instructor who has provided outstanding training for our AFF students. Brian Vacher who runs his own Canopy piloting school in Spain was the beneficiary of a bursary towards the cost of his training jumps for the World Cup in 2005. Brian came 12th in the Expert Category of the World Cup and will compete over the coming year representing the UK. Brian has moved his canopy piloting school from Lillo to EmpuriaBrava.
.

2004 - Our first year as sponsors.

Athletes: Darren O Connor : Conor King.

We provided funding towards the trip costs and jump expenses of Irelands Performance piloting team Havoc ´. These guys are some of Irelands best pilots and we wish them well with their training for the world Cup. Both individuals have tremendous talent as was demonstrated on their training camp with Brian Vacher. I have recently seen footage of them training in Ireland and they are doing really well.
